THREE KEYS TO A BYU VICTORY
- Eli Bryant needs to produce a vlog-worthy performance
If BYU wants to get their fourth straight victory in The Kennel, Elijah Bryant will need to go ham like he has all season, but he might need to have a career-night for the Cougars to pull off the upset. If Eli does have a career-night, imagine the vlog title? NCAA BASKETBALL PLAYER SCORES 40 POINTS IN A DOG HOUSE!
- Limit Gonzaga to one shot every possession
Offensive rebounds will be critical in this game. Unlike BYU, the Zags have a bench that they can turn to throughout the game. Gonzaga will be fresh and they’ll have Killian Tillie, Jacob Larsen, Rui Hachimura, and Corey Kispert to help attack the glass after a missed shot. Yoeli Childs can only do so much. Zac Seljaas and Luke Worthington need to be assignment sound and box out.
- Embrace the spoiler role yet again
The LMU loss was downright awful. But it’s time to move on. No better game to try and move on from then facing the Zags in The Kennel. Gonzaga is going to feel more pressure in this game to win than BYU. Gonzaga is looking to stay within reach of St. Mary’s and also end this surprising losing-streak to BYU. If you get down early, don’t be phased, play a complete 40 minutes.
Gonzaga, 72, BYU 63
