New England Patriots LB and former BYU star joined Ben Criddle on ESPN 960.
Van Noy is playing for his second Super Bowl Championship in as many years with the Patriots
Former BYU star and current Patriots linebacker standout Kyle Van Noy is pursuing his second consecutive Super Bowl title in as many years with the Patriots.
Earlier this week, Van Noy took some time out of his busy Super Bowl schedule to talk with ESPN 960’s Cougar Sports with Ben Criddle about the game, his memories at BYU, and also what it’s like to have Tom Brady as a teammate.
In regards to Brady, Van Noy had this to say about his goat of a teammate:
Tom (Brady) is great. He’s awesome to go to work and compete against every day and talk trash. It’s fun. I love it. He makes me better.
Every once in awhile he will give me some pointers and then leadership value points that he has. It’s pretty great.
It’s awesome to watch someone that has greatness every day and is able to play with it. More importantly, as a team, we know we can’t be anyone without the entire team.
Van Noy has become friends with Tom Brady’s trainer, Alex Guerrero, since joining the Pats. Guerrero leads TB12 with Brady and is an active member of the LDS church.
This season, Van Noy has piled up 73 tackles and 5.5 sacks as the Patriots look to win their sixth Super Bowl since 2001.
