Gunner Romney Will Play For BYU Football In 2018 Season
Three-Star wide receiver from Arizona is expected to make impact in 2018
Romney turned down offers from Arizona & Arizona State before committing to BYU
The past six months have been very difficult on the BYU football program and its fans. Monday night was one of the few positives that the program has experienced in that time.
Three-star wide receiver Chandler, Arizona, Gunner Romney announced on ESPN 960’s Cougar Sports with Ben Criddle that he would be signing with BYU this Wednesday.
Romney is arguably the best wide receiver in the state of Arizona and he is a major coup for a BYU team that lacks many playmakers at the wide receiver position.
During that interview on ESPN 960, Romney also announced that he would be enrolling in school this May and will play the 2018 football season for the Cougars.
Romney is an important addition to BYU recruiting class as he gives BYU a potential number one wide receiver for whichever quarterback is throwing him the ball in 2018.
The Arizona State Champion turned down the hometown Arizona State Sun Devils and new Herm Edwards before remaining committed to BYU. Romney said, “it just didn’t feel right” when he compared Arizona State to what BYU had to offer him.
Listen to the entire interview Ben Criddle and I had with Romney.
