BYU Football: Charlie Peterson & Riley Nelson To Play Quarterback In Spring Alumni Game
BYU Spring Alumni Football Game 2018
Who’s still got it?
Along with the BYU Spring Scrimmage tomorrow at 11 a.m. (MDT), former BYU football players will participate in an Alumni Flag Football game at 9 a.m. at the BYU Practice Fields. This is part of the BYU Alumni Day festivities that will be taking place in correlation with the culmination of spring practices wrapping up.
The quarterbacks who will lead the two flag football teams are former Cougars, Charlie Peterson and Riley Nelson. Peterson played at BYU from 1998-2001. Peterson was a USA Today Player of the Year coming out of Bingham High School in 1995. Peterson is still balling out with the Wasatch Revolution in the South Western Football League.
Former Cougar QB Riley Nelson will be the other guy slinging the rock in the Alumni Flag Football game. Nelson transferred from Utah State to BYU after serving an LDS mission in 2009. Went on to start in 19 games in his BYU career from 2009-2012.
