BYU Football: WR/CB Beau Tanner Transferring
Senior-to-be was switched to cornerback in spring practice.
Played in 23 games during two-year career at BYU
BYU senior cornerback Beau Tanner announced via his personal Instagram page that he would be leaving the Cougar Football program.
Tanner was a transfer from Scottsdale Community College who enrolled at BYU in 2016, turning down interest from UCLA and a handful of other programs to sign with the Cougars.
Beau Tanner played wide receiver in his two seasons at BYU and he totaled 13 receptions for 140 yards and one touchdown grab for 40-yards against Utah State last season.
During spring football this past spring, Tanner was switched from wide receiver to cornerback. A position he had no experience playing in his career.
