NFL Draft 2018: BYU DB Micah Hannemann Signed Free Agent Contract With Cleveland Browns
One of the best athletes on BYU’s roster in 2017.
Hannemann was a three-year starter at BYU
Micah Hannemann signed an undrafted free agent contract after the conclusion of the 2018 NFL Draft with the Cleveland Browns.
Hannemann will be teamed up again with his old running mate at safety while at BYU, Kai Nacua.
Like Hannemann, Nacua took a similar route last year in the NFL. Signed with the Cleveland Browns as undrafted free agent and eventually made the 53-man roster.
Hannemann will look to be the next BYU safety to make the roster with the Dawg Pound.
Hannemann was a three-year starter at BYU. Starting at cornerback in 2015 and then switching to safety for the 2016 and 2017 seasons. He played in 37 games in his BYU career and totaled 123 tackles, four interceptions, 14 pass deflections, and one forced fumble.
Hannemann had a solid showing at his BYU Pro Day by posting numbers of 4.57 in the 40-yard dash, 35″ vertical, and 10’3″ in the broad jump.
According to 3SigmaAthlete.com, Hannemann posted the 18th best SPARQ score among safety prospects in the 2018 NFL Draft.
