NFL Draft 2018: BYU WR Jonah Trinnaman Signed Free Agent Contract With Arizona Cardinals
Trinnaman was a star of the Pro Day circuit with his speed.
Jonah Trinnaman had the second highest SPARQ score among all WR’s in 2018 Draft
One of the top performing wide receivers during the NFL Pro Day circuit was BYU wide receiver Jonah Trinnaman.
Trinnaman wowed scouts and NFL personnel with his 4.3 40-yard dashes and his 12′ broad jump, which was four inches short of setting a world record.
There was a lot of buzz surrounding the Chicago Bears and their interest in Trinnaman, as they had dinner with the BYU speedster the night before his Pro Day in Provo back in March, but the Arizona Cardinals ultimately end up as Trinnaman’s NFL destination.
Trinnaman’s agent, Evan Brennan, said earlier in the week that NFL general managers were telling Trinnaman and his agent that Jonah would have 20-plus NFL teams contacting him after the draft ended for him to sign.
In Trinnaman’s two seasons at BYU, he hauled in 54 catches for 626 yards and one touchdown grab (against Toledo, 2016).
The Arizona Cardinals boast a future Hall of Famer in Larry Fitzgerald at wide receiver. Great opportunity for Trinnaman to learn the NFL world under one of the best to ever to do it.
