BYU Goes Up 5 Spots in AP Poll

BYU didn’t have an amazing showoff vs McNeese, nonetheless the win moved BYU up five spots.

The Cougars ended the Cowboys ride on Saturday with a 30-3 win. The previously No. 25 ranked BYU took a few quarters to get in the groove, but eventually got it going to defeat McNeese. A win worthy to go up to No. 20 in this weeks AP poll.

McNeese wasn’t a big name school, but the win along with some other top 25 team losses helped BYU to keep climbing. Texas beat TCU this week to knock TCU out of the top 25. And Kentucky came in to the mix to defeat Mississippi State at home to move to No. 17, and Virginia Tech fell out of the top 25 after a loss to Old Dominion, just to name a few games.

The Cougars look to keep moving up with their game against Washington this week. This game could potentially move them up to the top 15 spot. The Cougars hope to improve to 4-1 this Saturday in Washington.
