No. 20 BYU is set to face No. 11 Washington tonight, and the Cougars are looking for another hopeful upset.
BYU and Washington both have 3-1 records, but only one person will come out of this winning. The Cougar’s are currently 17 point underdogs in this game. But they aren’t letting it stop them.
“We are ready for the rest of the week–were preparing the right way.” Head Coach Kalani Sitake said during the Kalani Sitake Show. “We do well when, we prepare well. Were really looking forward to continuing the progress were making. We just really need to see a good game this weekend.”
With that, Sitake says they need to brush up on their defense and they can’t have any more missed sacks.
In Jeff Call’s article for the Deseret News, Sitake said:
“We’re getting pressure on the quarterback. Every week, we’ve missed some sacks,” Sitake said. “But we’re getting some disruption and you saw the result of that last week. We had some disruption in the Wisconsin game, but we couldn’t get the sacks. We’ll keep working on it. The guys are aware of it.”
Jeff Grimes even called it the best defense the Cougars will see all season. With that, the main improvements the Cougars needed to make was on defense. They also need to be ready for the top tier defense the Huskies have.
The Cougars take on the Huskies tonight at 6:30 p.m. for another tough game and the chance to make it in the top 15.
